What is a 7 or 8 weeks old baby doing?

So I have a toddler so its been awhile and I cannot remember what exactly a newborn of this age is doing as in milestone as. I will be watching a friends baby along with her almost 4 year old and my daughter and Just trying to get all ready for the baby. Picking through baby toys like the soft toy with a mirror and teething ring on it anyways getting them all cleaned and ready. when toys are placed infront of the baby are they trying to touch them yet or is that a ways a way AND just anything else to refresh my memory on that age
