How to you build automatic doors?

I have a friend who wishes to create sliding automatic door/wall to cover their television. The television will be recessed into the wall, then they wish for something to slide in front to cover the television. We were thinking of using a mirror (two mirrors) and have one half slide up, the other slide down and meet in the middle to hide the television, but we aren't sure the technology to use.
