Windows Aero not displaying correctly, suggestions?

I recently signed into my Windows 7 Professional laptop, and rather than Windows Aero, Windows Basic was displayed, I ran the troubleshooter tool under 'Personalisation' and it told me to close programs using a 'Mirror Driver' I had recently installed a remote-access software, 'LogMeIn' which I uninstalled along with 'Windows Live Mesh', upon rebooting Windows Basic was still displayed, suggestions?
